Sustainability

We sell sweets from Sweden and post them across Europe. That has a footprint, and we'd rather be straight about it than put a green leaf on the logo and call it done.

Here's what we actually do, and what we don't.

Packaging

• Cardboard outers, recyclable and mostly recycled to begin with
• Paper void fill instead of plastic wrap where the contents allow it
• No plastic tape
• We reuse clean inbound boxes for outbound orders when they're in good enough condition. It looks slightly less polished. It saves a box.

The candy packets themselves are the manufacturer's, and most are plastic film. We can't change that — it's what keeps the sweets edible — so please recycle them via your local soft-plastics stream where one exists.

Shipping

Everything goes from one warehouse in Sweden. We consolidate orders into a single parcel wherever we can rather than splitting shipments, because two boxes is worse than one.

We don't air-freight anything.

Waste

We buy to demand rather than stockpiling, which is mostly a cash-flow decision but happens to mean very little goes out of date. Short-dated stock gets discounted rather than binned.

What we're not claiming

We're not carbon neutral. We're not plastic free. Shipping confectionery across a continent is not a low-impact activity, and we're a small shop without the leverage to change how Marabou wraps a chocolate bar.

What we can do is not waste packaging, not split parcels unnecessarily, and not throw away food. That's the honest list.
